VACUUM DISTILLATION
- At lower pressure the azeotrope is more than 95%
alcohol.
- The CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics, 61st edition (1980-1981) gives
the following for ethanol-water azeotropes:
- Boiling point 78.2 C (172.8F), 95.6% ethanol at atmospheric pressure
- Boiling point 33.4 C (92.1F), 99.5% ethanol at
95 mm Hg (0.125 atmosphere)
